FeedMe! v 0.3 Automatic Podcast Maker developed by MuseumPods

Freeware

 "FeedMe! the opposite of complicated"

Upload media content and MuseumPods will supply the bandwidth and networking software needed to create RSS podcasts because we want every organization in the world regardless of technical skills or budget to use RSS feeds to help leverage media and marketing strategies to new demographics and a global audience.

FeedMe! is the first automatic podcast maker that is also a Widget in the world. We have developed an online software program called FeedMe! v.3 to assist organizations with the creation of subscription based RSS feeds or as they are known podcasts.  You can upload MP3 audio, MPEG4 video, PDF, WMV files, and is fully iTunes compatible.

Click on "Get Widget" and see where you can integrate the Widget or simply sign-up for an account now.  It is free and comes with a password protected account and gives you the ability to make RSS feeds with unlimited episodes. Just fill in the blanks, upload the media and the RSS feeds are automatically generated -helpful for organizations without servers or the technical skills to generate the code needed to make RSS podcasts.

We think it is the easiest and best way to make podcasts on the internet.

wTicker is an advanced feed aggregator, that comes loaded with many unique features. Besides RSS Feeds, it also supports to gather information from Usenet, Email or even local eventlogs. While loaded with features, this is most certainly a software for more advanced users - the documentation is sparse, and we found it very difficult to figure out the features and concept of the program, which involve custom SQL queries and dozens of configuration options. Using the program as basic RSS feed reader is fairly straightforward though, and includes an optional desktop ticker, as well as keyword alerts, article tags and integrated browser display. Making use of the more advanced feature will require some time and patience.

Version 0.0.1.247 released (01/31-2003)

FeedExpress is a freeware and OpenSource (LGPL license) RSS feed reader.
FeedExpress basically lets you subscribe to several RSS/RDF sources, known as Subscriptions in FeedExpress, in the same way that Outlook Express lets you subscribe to several news groups. FeedExpress caches and indexes all the feeds for each RSS subscription, making it easy to overview all your feeds.

FeedExpress is currently released in a beta version, which doesn't have all the features that the final version will have.

Features in the current version:
  • Supports reading RSS 0.91, 0.92, 2.0 (I believe some call this version 1), RDF and RadioLands version 2.0.
  • RSS Reader support is plugable, so if FeedExpress doesn't support a given format, it will be quite easy to create your own reader. More on this to follow soon...
  • The basic reading, refreshing, etc. features that you would expect of a feed reader
  • Support for adding additional information about a subscription. This information will be shown in the windows titlebar when the subcription is selected.
  • Support for Proxy servers
  • Optional sounds to indicate new feeds
  • Automatic refresh of Feeds
  • Can use the CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) of the Subscriptions homepage when displaying feeds from a subscription.
  • Searching capabilities
  • Status tray integration, with visible indication of new feeds
